About the role

Working in our Children’s Homes means being a part of a young person’s day-to-day life. This role involves supporting young people through their highest highs and lowest lows, helping them get their childhood back and create pathways to become well-rounded adults. There will be challenges, but also moments that feel like meaningful, small victories.

Our homes accommodate young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. Our aim is to create the best possible outcomes for the young people in our care, and our night support workers are fulfilled by the idea of making small positive changes in their lives.

Responsibilities

* Take care of the home and our young people through the night.
* Provide support when a young person wakes during the night due to trauma, illness, distress or sleep difficulties.
* Build rapport and become a trusted person in their time of need.
* Carry out quieter duties such as paperwork, cleaning and laundry as needed.
* Assess individual needs, personality and potential to guide them toward a positive future.

What we do for you

We know you’re going to do great things. For your hard work and commitment, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package. You’ll also have the opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of our young people, and to benefit from:

* Training: A full 4-week induction on our Care Academy
* Holiday: 7 weeks’ holiday
* Progression: Opportunities to progress within the group, including the Aspire future managers programme
* Flexible benefits package: options to adjust holiday allowance, pension and life insurance
* Wellbeing: Access to wellbeing tools and employee assistance
* Medical cover: Reimbursement for optician/dentist costs and high-street discounts
* Working environments: Beautiful facilities and supportive teams
* Referral bonus: £1,000 for successful referrals
