We are currently seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to join a SEMH provision in Chesterfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to make a positive impact on the lives of young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Experience in a similar role is desired but not essential, as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with young people and be able to demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding in challenging situations.
Key responsibilities:
* Providing one-to-one support to students with behavioural difficulties
* Supporting students with their emotional and mental health needs
* Working closely with teachers and other professionals to create a positive learning environment
Requirements:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to remain calm under pressure
* A flexible and adaptable approach to work
* A genuine interest in supporting young people with SEMH needs
Eligibility Criteria:
* You must have the right to work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the online update service) or be willing to apply for one
* Provide two professional, child-related references
