Overview
A skilled and motivated Quality Systems Engineer is required to manage all aspects of the company's quality and environmental accreditations. The successful candidate will ensure that the business management systems operate effectively and in compliance with customer, regulatory, and legislative requirements.
The environment is fast-paced and aligned with lean manufacturing principles, supporting the manufacture and supply of large pressings and welded assemblies to major automotive OEMs. This role involves close interaction with all departments, external auditors, and customers, requiring excellent communication and presentation skills across all levels of an organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain both IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 management systems.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and customer requirements.
* Hold or work toward IATF Lead Auditor and ISO 14001 Internal Auditor qualifications.
* Plan, manage, and complete internal audits, ensuring corrective actions are raised, tracked, and closed promptly.
* Develop and manage the internal audit team to meet the annual audit schedule.
* Support activities involving business departments, external auditors, suppliers, and customers.
* Prepare and deliver presentations and communication to various stakeholders.
* Update and maintain KPI reports and support the management review process.
* Develop and maintain business policies and procedures using Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Visio).
* Maintain document control across all systems.
* Monitor and manage budgets related to system support, audits, training, and standards.
* Apply strong process interaction knowledge and leadership skills to drive continual improvement.
