Senior Surveyor / Associate - National Industrial Portfolio
Location: Birmingham (National Role - Hybrid / Home‑Based)
Salary: £50,000-£60,000 + Car Allowance
Contract Length: Long‑Term Client Partnership
A leading real estate advisory and management firm is seeking a Senior Surveyor or Associate to join its nationally integrated property management team. The organisation manages a diverse range of commercial assets across office, industrial and retail sectors, combining technical expertise with innovative, client‑focused service delivery.
This opportunity supports a major national industrial portfolio for a long‑standing client who views the management team as an extension of their own business. The role offers strong long‑term stability, a well‑structured handover, and full support from an experienced multidisciplinary team.
The Role
This position is predominantly home‑based (with optional office access) and involves managing a wide range of industrial assets, particularly across the Midlands. Responsibilities include service charge management, tenant liaison, operational oversight and client reporting. The role sits within a highly collaborative national team with dedicated facilities management and accounting support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as the main point of contact for tenants, including managing formal landlord and tenant matters such as assignments, subletting and alterations.
2. Work closely with building, estate and facilities managers to resolve maintenance, repair and operational issues.
3. Prepare, manage and monitor service charge budgets across multiple industrial assets.
4. Oversee income, expenditure and credit control in conjunction with a dedicated accounts team.
5. Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting, including attendance at portfolio review meetings.
6. Identify asset management opportunities to support the client's strategic plans and enhance portfolio performance.
What We're Looking For
7. Strong background in managing industrial properties is essential.
8. MRICS qualification is desirable but not required.
9. Confident communicator with proven client‑facing experience.
10. Comfortable working independently within a home‑based structure while contributing effectively to a national team.
11. Skilled in managing complex service charges and multi‑asset portfolios.
12. Experience using property management platforms is advantageous.
13. Self‑motivated, organised, and capable of using initiative in a relationship‑driven environment.
