Clinical Nurse Specialist
Location: Spennymoor, County Durham
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum, pro rata
Shifts: Part-time | 3 days per week | Monday-Friday

About This Role
It’s a specialist role that requires clinical expertise along with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads. We’re looking for someone who shares our values and is as passionate about care as we are.
You will be based at your local Apollo Home Healthcare office in Spennymoor, but some flexibility is required as you will be travelling to clients’ homes across the North East region.
In this role, you'll:
1. Take clinical ownership of your service user caseload, creating and managing bespoke care plans.
2. Lead and deliver clinical training for Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers.
3. Ensure a compliant, high-quality, person-centred care service.
4. Review clinical paperwork and MAR Charts.
5. Build strong relationships with service users and their care teams.
6. Provide ongoing mandatory training and development in line with national standards.
7. Auditing – reviewing clinical paperwork to maintain standards in line with CQC quality standards and regulations
8. Competency assessments, as well as training, mentoring and delivering theoretical and practical training on a one to one basis in a service user's home and within group settings in a classroom environment.

What You’ll Need
9. A valid NMC Pin with 5 years’ post-qualification experience
10. Experience of working within a community setting - working with service users in their home own home alongside family/carers
11. Proven experience of compiling and producing care plans for new, complex care packages
12. Flexibility to split your time between the office and community.
13. Clinical Assessment and auditing experience.
14. Exceptional communication skills
15. Driver with access to a vehicle
16. Experience of delivering the following clinical interventions with adults or children; Airway Management (Tracheostomy Care)
17. Ventilation Management
18. Enteral Feeding
19. Suctioning
