Description: GB has a strategy rooted in people, purpose, and performance with an ambition to be a £1.6bn NSV business, involving growing notable market share of TBA. This requires a strong, continuously improving business plan that integrates key commercial dimensions for delivering the desired P&L outcome. The business has chosen to upweight planning capability by assigning a dedicated Head of IBP.
Role Dimensions
The Head of IBP is responsible for defining, designing, and continuously improving the Business Plan across all categories and channels to deliver on Diageo GB’s strategy and vision.
Leadership Responsibilities
* Lead the full year Integrated Business Planning process from Marketing Business Planning through to the AOP.
* Lead and deliver the Bi-annual commercial plan update.
* Bring together channel, marketing, and finance teams to deliver an insight-driven, aligned plan in line with GB strategy.
* Define priorities for creative development following MBP, integrating marketing and commercial priorities.
* Socialise EOY reviews on marketing effectiveness and embed findings into the plan.
* Engage key partners for early consensus on commercial building blocks.
* Orchestrate executive alignment and deployment of the commercial plan to sales teams.
* Partner with the Business Performance Manager to track in-year performance against the AOP.
* Manage cross-functional meeting cadence and governance for each IBP stage.
* Review and reallocate resources to ensure plan delivery.
* Manage monthly category forecast & value pool updates, providing narrative on performance drivers.
* Support portfolio and category strategy development and 5-year planning.
* Lead IBP Manager in building analytical tools to aid planning and decision-making.
Purpose of Role
Lead, manage, and deliver the integrated business plan, tracking and adjusting resource allocation as needed.
Top 3-5 Accountabilities
* Delivery of the Integrated Business Plan.
* Design and deployment of the commercial plan.
* Overall tracking and quarterly reallocation proposals.
* Ownership of category and value pool forecasts and narratives.
Qualifications & Experience Required
* 10+ years of business planning and commercial experience preferred.
* Integrated business planning experience preferred.
* Strong FMCG commercial understanding, numerical skills, and attention to detail.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships based on trust and respect.
* Experience managing senior collaborators for positive outcomes.
* Comfortable working with ambiguity, complexity, and in fast-paced environments.
* Deep personal accountability for performance and governance.
* Experience leading teams or working collaboratively.
