Overview
The Procurement and Supply Chain Management function interfaces with third-party organisations for procurement of goods and services and the relationship management that underpins those activities. They support project delivery teams across sectors to ensure that the strategic direction is identified and delivered. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact by driving efficiency, sustainability and innovation within procurement and supply chain functions.
Responsibilities
* Developing a strategic approach for Procurement and Supply Chain Management across major programmes and ensuring robust strategies are developed and implemented
* Ensure responsible Procurement is delivered across allocated projects, developing and supporting project delivery teams whilst remaining aligned to group P&SC targets and objectives
* Ensure a robust and structured supply chain exists and is correctly deployed in support of both work-winning and successfully delivering projects / frameworks
* Support implemented category management approach within the sector to leverage spend and performance whilst staying aligned to group category management strategies
* Support the drive towards ESG, including SME development, social value creation, zero carbon solutions, promoting safety; ensure alignment with the Head of Sustainable Procurement and Relationship Management on approach
* Promote collaboration between the business and the supply chain to unlock value through innovation and best practice where appropriate using ISO 44001
* Ensure strong governance is followed and adhered to, ensuring the business is not exposed to unnecessary risk and that effective performance management of the supply chain is undertaken
* Work closely with the Central Procurement function to ensure compatibility between activities of respective functions
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with terms and conditions
* Develop relationships with client’s Supply Chain and Procurement teams, participating in their initiatives to assist them in achieving their goals
* Ensure data is produced and used to allow effective decision making
* Continuously improve procurement and supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications
Essential
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
* Member Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply qualified or a similar professional certification (e.g. CPSM)
Desirable
* MBA or Master’s degree in a related procurement field
* MCIM or ILM Leadership degree
