I’m working with a leading contractor in the data centre sector who are looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical/Electrical Design Engineer to strengthen their London-based team.
This role offers the chance to take on a lead position in delivering complex, mission-critical projects across the UK and Europe, while mentoring junior engineers and shaping best practice in design.
The role:
* Lead mechanical and/or electrical design delivery on major data centre projects.
* Oversee project documentation, compliance, and technical standards.
* Collaborate with consultants, project managers, and clients throughout project lifecycle.
* Provide leadership and mentorship within a growing engineering team.
* Drive innovation in sustainable design and energy-efficient systems.
The profile we’re seeking:
* 8+ years’ experience in mechanical or electrical design, ideally within mission-critical or data centre environments.
* Strong background in design delivery within a contractor setting.
* Demonstrable team leadership and mentoring experience.
* Chartered (CEng) or working towards this is advantageous.
What’s on offer:
