Receptionist and Business Centre Support
£26,936 - £14ph
East Croydon
We are seeking a highly organized and professional receptionist to manage access procedures, coordinate with contractors and couriers, and support the business centre manager in fostering a vibrant community within the serviced offices. The ideal candidate will be well-presented, experienced, confident, and capable of managing a busy, varied role.
Salary: £26,936 (37 hours per week), £14 per hour
Hours:
* Monday – 8:30am to 5:30pm
* Tuesday to Friday – 10:30am to 5:30pm
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a welcoming front-of-house reception service and manage building operations, including couriers, post, calls, and deliveries.
* Build strong relationships with tenants, agents, and contractors to maintain a high standard of presentation and resolve issues swiftly.
* Enhance tenant experience through local knowledge, regular communication via e-newsletters, and additional services such as discounts and amenities.
* Organize promotional events to support local businesses and community engagement.
* Assist in marketing strategies, tenant onboarding, and community activities to promote an active tenant community.
* Provide operational and administrative support, including mail handling, booking meeting rooms, and assisting with financial operations such as invoicing and managing tenant defaults.
* Maintain the aesthetic standards of the business centre and ensure health and safety compliance.
* Support in attracting new tenants, managing inquiries and viewings, and participating in networking events to raise the centre's profile.
* Prepare a local amenities guide, become an expert on local knowledge.
* Create and communicate via an e-newsletter with tenants as needed.
* Research and introduce social engagement services, negotiate tenant discounts at local shops, restaurants, gyms, etc.
* Organize or assist in promotional events such as pop-up markets, Christmas, and summer activities supporting local businesses.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Proven experience in a premium front-of-house role with a customer-focused approach.
* Immaculate presentation and a welcoming personality.
* Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, capable of communicating at all levels.
* Strong time-management, administrative skills, and attention to detail.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills; proficient in PC/Microsoft packages and Apple Mac.
* Flexible, proactive, team-oriented, and positive attitude.
* Knowledge of building/facilities management is advantageous.
