About the Role:
We’re experiencing rapid growth and plan to onboard many new customers throughout 2025 and beyond. We are also expanding our technical team, adding more software and mobile engineers, data engineers, QA professionals, and product-focused staff to our current team of around 25.
This role is crucial as it bridges technical execution and strategic delivery within our organization. It fosters team excellence by establishing effective workflows and nurturing a collaborative environment that encourages innovation. You will balance analytical oversight of metrics with interpersonal guidance to help the team evolve into a cohesive and high-performing unit.
Responsibilities:
1. Run efficient daily stand-ups to identify blockers and promote team collaboration.
2. Manage work item estimation to enhance scheduling and predictability.
3. Track team metrics for capacity planning.
4. Foster team cohesion and ensure clear communication.
5. Facilitate retrospectives and follow up on action items.
6. Maintain quality deliverables and adjust timelines as needed.
7. Help the team adapt to changing priorities.
8. Communicate delivery dates to stakeholders.
9. Conduct performance reviews for team members.
10. Support recruitment planning and interviewing processes.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience required:
1. Recent experience in a small, fast-paced, customer-led delivery environment, not in large corporations or highly matrixed settings.
2. Experience leading engineering teams of more than 15 members.
3. Proficiency with delivery management tools such as Azure DevOps or Atlassian suite.
4. Understanding of the psychology behind high-performing teams.
5. Excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence to promote team cohesion.
6. Pragmatism and realistic understanding of challenges.
7. Ownership and accountability in engineering processes.
8. Effective change management skills.
9. Understanding capacity management and planning challenges.
10. Interest or experience in the aviation or transport industry.
11. Scrum Master Certification (PSM-1 or CSM-1).
12. Background in Software Engineering, preferably with C#/.NET.
