SENIOR FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER REQUIRED FOR ESTABLISHED CAPITAL EQUIPMENT COMPANY IN THE WASTE MANAGEMENT SECTOR
TITLE: Senior Field Service Engineer - Baler & Compactor
SALARY: £45-50K DOE, Overtime available paid at x1.5
Company van, Paid door-to-door travel
28 days annual leave including bank holidays, plus one day per year of service (up to 33 days inc. bank hols)

LOCATION: This is a nationwide role that will involve travel and occasional overnight stays. The ideal candidate will be based between Wakefield and Nottingham, with convenient access to the A1 or M1—locations such as Doncaster, Sheffield, Worksop, Newark, or Chesterfield would be well suited

ROLE: Senior Field Service Engineer - Baler & Compactor
As Senior Field Service Engineer you will provide technical leadership and support for field engineers and customers, ensuring high standards of service, safety, and reliability across balers, compactors, and waste machinery.
Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing complex faults, performing installations, commissioning, and operator training, and maintaining electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
EXPERIENCE: Senior Field Service Engineer - Baler & Compactor
You will have strong hands-on experience with balers, compactors, or similar waste and recycling machinery
17th or 18th edition certification and strong electrical and hydraulic diagnostic skills.
Proven ability in welding and fabrication, excellent communication and mentoring skills, and a methodical, proactive approach to problem-solving.
A forklift licence is desirable, but training can be provided.
Flexibility for occasional overnight stays and weekend work is required. A UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.
