What you will be responsible for: You'll play a pivotal role in enhancing the insurer's proposition by owning and improving policy documentation and supporting the wider underwriting community. Key responsibilities include: Acting as a specialist referral point for policy wordings and reinsurance, coaching underwriters and ensuring consistent technical standards across the business. Drafting and reviewing policy wordings, summaries of cover, clauses, and application forms to ensure they meet legal, regulatory, and reinsurance requirements. Supporting the development and enhancement of products, including wording updates, governance activity, and market research to ensure the proposition remains competitive. Working closely with Group Underwriting, third‑party suppliers, Underwriting Operations, and Distribution to refine documentation, improve underwriting tools, and strengthen the overall proposition. Ensuring all documentation and processes align with regulatory frameworks (including ELTO, product oversight & governance, audit, and DA management), and escalating risks where required. Leading and contributing to underwriting development projects that support growth, quality, and operational efficiency.
