CACI has an exciting opportunity for an All-Source Geological and Materials Analyst to support the United States Africa Command's (USAFRICOM) Joint Analysis Center in Molesworth, United Kingdom. Within this role you will conduct all-source research and analysis focused on geologic materials, terrain, soils, bedrock, hydrology, geomorphology, and environmental conditions. Responsibilities
* Conduct geological analysis related to terrain, soils, bedrock, hydrology, geomorphology, and environmental conditions, and render it into digestible information for AFRICOM leadership.
* Translate complex geologic data into clear, mission-relevant assessments and written products for senior leaders, planners, and operational staff.
* Support time-sensitive and long-term projects by evaluating subsurface and environmental factors that affect mobility, construction feasibility, resource availability, and operational risk in austere and developing environments.
* Write analytic products according to ICD standards and brief findings to command decision makers, as required.
Qualifications
* 4+ years of experience as a geologist or geoscientist supporting government, DoD, or national security missions.
* Experience conducting applied geologic analysis, including soil and rock characterization, hydrology, geomorphology, terrain stability, or environmental assessments.
* Experience producing written technical reports, assessments, or analytical products for operational or decision-making audiences.
* Knowledge of geologic data sources and methodologies, including field data, laboratory analysis, scientific literature, and publicly available datasets.
* Ability to clearly brief senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams on geologic findings, risks, and implications.
* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
* TS/SCI clearance.
* Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geoscience, Earth Science, or Geological Engineering.
Desired Skills
* Experience supporting projects or operations within the AFRICOM Area of Responsibility.
* Experience with intelligence analysis and writing to DIA analytic standards.
* Experience with geology of austere, remote, or developing environments.
* Experience working with MASINT or large or complex geologic datasets, and summarizing findings for decision-makers.
Benefits
