Protocol Education are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Harlow that supports students with SEMH needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) traits.
You will be joining a dedicated and understanding team that work closely with children who may display challenging behaviours, struggle with emotional regulation, or require additional support to access their learning. A calm, patient and resilient attitude is essential – but no prior school experience is necessary!
You’ll be someone who can build trust and rapport with students, model positive behaviours, and be a consistent, supportive presence in the classroom.
Experience or training in the following areas is desirable:
De-escalation techniques (Team Teach, MAPA, etc.)
Mental health awareness
Trauma-informed approaches
Youth work or mentoring
This school requires staff on a long-term, full-time basis (5 days a week between the hours of 8:30am – 3:30pm).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
