Centre Manager Location: Towcester, Northamptonshire Contract Type: Full‑Time, Permanent Start Date: As soon as possible About the Role We are recruiting a dedicated and driven Centre Manager to lead our Alternative Provision secondary facility in Towcester. You will be responsible for the strategic direction, day‑to‑day operations, staff leadership, and the overall welfare and outcomes for students in Key Stage 3 & 4. Our setting is homely, inclusive, with small class sizes, fostering strong relationships, high expectations, and tailored learning. Key Responsibilities Provide strong leadership, vision and management to the centre, ensuring a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for students. Oversee curriculum delivery, ensuring that functional skills, academic and personal development elements are appropriately balanced and effective. Manage, mentor, and evaluate staff performance; ensure high‑quality teaching, support, and development. Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, policies, regulatory requirements and standards. Monitor student outcomes, attendance, behaviour, achievement; intervene to support progress; promote inclusion and well‑being. Engage with parents, external agencies, local authorities to build strong partnerships. Person Specification Strong leadership and management experience, ideally in AP, SEN or similar contexts. Knowledge of curriculum, especially functional skills, and understanding of KS3 & KS4 statutory requirements and assessment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, time‑management and resilience skills. A compassionate but firm approach; ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
