Location: Head Office - Bromsgrove
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent - 35 hours per week
Salary: Total reward between £25K and £27K per annum, depending on experience

What We Are Looking For
We are on the lookout for an experienced Sales Ledger and Billing Officer to join our dynamic finance team at our Head Office in Bromsgrove. In this pivotal role, you will help us achieve our cash collection targets and minimize debts of concern.
Your expertise will be essential in managing the sales ledger and billing function across your allocated area, while also providing support to the Credit Control Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Raise sales invoices in line with customer invoicing terms and pre-agreed billing setups.
* Issue free-text invoices for one-off rechargeable costs.
* Chase local authority accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve queries professionally.
* Accurately allocate incoming payments across the ledger.
* Manage queries with regions and customers, collaborating closely with Polaris regions/homes.
* Reduce current debtor days on the ledger to agreed targets per customer and region.
* Stay organized and maintain concise communication records.
* Ensure all services delivered across allocated regions/homes are invoiced accurately.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following skills and experience:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to network at all levels.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines.
* Experience in a similar sales ledger/credit control role, ideally including chasing local authority payments.
* Familiarity with using an integrated finance system.
