1. Basic Salary: £40,000 + Bonus

3. Monday to Friday role (40 hours)

Our client is a growing Accident Repair Centre in Chester, with a great team and bright & modern workshop. With insurance work volumes increasing they are now seeking an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join their team.

Duties of a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator with our client:
13. Inspect and assess damaged vehicles, calculating repair costs and timescales
14. Identify the correct repair methodology using Audatex / Thatcham Escribe
15. Prepare accurate electronic and manual estimates for insurer approval
16. Liaise with insurance companies, customers, and engineers to authorise repairs
17. Ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality repair methods
18. Produce workshop job schedules, liaise with workshop staff, and keep customers updated
19. Work closely with parts suppliers to ensure timely and accurate orders
What our client expects of their Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator:
20. Audatex experience is highly desirable
21. ATA, NVQ Level 3, or City & Guilds qualifications preferred — time-served assessors considered
22. Strong background in a Bodyshop environment
23. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume repair setting
24. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
25. Competence with Bodyshop management systems
26. UK/EU Driving Licence required
27. A hands-on, team-player attitude and customer-focused mindset
