The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Sunday 8.30am to 4.30pm with occasional back shifts and overnight shifts.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Nurse Manager in North East Glasgow HSCP. This post is for a fixed term of 6months.
This role has both professional leadership and operational management responsibilities for nursing services within the NE HSCP e.g. for sickness absence management, recruitment and selection, the disciplinary and grievance process, professional development of staff, departmental workload monitoring and workforce planning.
There is an emphasis on professional and practice development, which delivers clinically effective services in line with the clinical governance and organisational development strategies of the service and the post holder will work closely with the HSCP Professional Nurse Lead to support this. This post will have operational management responsibility for The District Nursing service in NE Glasgow, which is a 24 hour/day, 365 days per year service and Diabetic Specialist Nursing.
Therefore the post holder will require to work Backshift and overnight shifts on occasion, however the majority of shifts will be carried out within core hours, Mon- Fri.
It is essential that you hold current 1st Level NMC Registration; have a post registration degree, management diploma or equivalent level of experience; and have experience in change management and leading practice development initiatives. You must possess excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills and be resilient and self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.
Driving licence is desirable due to geographical area that you will cover.
