Commercial Solicitor Position Overview
As a Senior Commercial Solicitor, you will lead the commercial department, manage complex transactions, and cultivate strong client relationships. Responsibilities include high-value company commercial matters such as M&A, restructuring, corporate advisory, team development, mentoring, business growth initiatives, marketing, PR, and strategic business development.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle high-value company commercial matters, including M&A, restructuring, and corporate advisory.
* Drive team development, mentor junior lawyers, and recruit top talent.
* Steer strategic business growth initiatives to grow the key practice area.
* Engage in marketing, article writing, PR, and business development activities.
* Apply commercial savvy to keep the client at the center of decisions.
Required Experience
* Qualified as a Senior Solicitor or Associate with 4–5 years PQE in company commercial law.
* Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of growing departments, mentoring, and business development.
* Robust technical expertise in mergers, acquisitions, restructures, and business sales.
* Hands‑on experience drafting and negotiating sale and purchase agreements and other complex transactional documents.
* Strong knowledge of the Companies Act 2006, contract law, and corporate governance matters.
* Commercially savvy mindset focused on exceptional client service and attracting high‑quality business.
