The warehouse operative position processes orders, accepts deliveries, and keeps the warehouse organised, which includes everything from physically moving product around the warehouse space and recording these movements to properly maintaining all shipping and receiving record.
General Description:
Warehouse general duties including but not limited to the below
1. Loading
2. Unloading
3. Freight processing (weighing/dimension checking)
4. Material Receipts / Line item Check
5. Picking / Packing
6. General Housekeeping
Essential Job Functions:
7. Container Packing / Checking in line with offshore regulations
8. Ability and certification to use general warehouse MHE
9. Manual Handling – correct and proper adherence to H&S guidelines
- Counter balance forklift truck
- Reach Forklift truck
- Manual Pallet trucks
- Other Equipment as introduced
10. Wearing suitable PPE as directed by job function
11. Protecting other staff and visitors by following correct H&S processes/procedures
12. Material Receipt processing – quantity checks / net weigh of product
13. RF scanning using CWW warehouse management system (C2C)
14. Correct following of process in handling ETFS and other HMRC controlled goods
15. Housekeeping of the warehouse to a high standard
16. Picking orders to 100% picking accuracy
17. Checking cargo on receipt for damages / theft and escalating to management as necessary
Other Skills/ Abilities:
18. Computer Literate
19. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web based and job specific software applications
20. Ability to work under pressure
21. Good communication skills
22. Good written and numerical skills
Education and Experience:
23. Aviation Security
24. Knowledge of dangerous goods handling
25. 3 years industry experience at a similar level
Certifications and License:
26. Relevant industry certification to support the necessary skills required for the role
