We are a family business that prides itself in high quality workmanship, we have a great customer base and we are continuously looking for ways to better ourselves and invest in new equipment to ensure we stay up to date. We carry out Design, Welding, Fabrication, Machining, Fitting and Site work.
* 4 Day week - Monday to Thursday 7am - 5pm *
Mechanical Fitter required to join our team. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who enjoys a challenge with varied work and is not shy of getting stuck in. Ability to take a lead on site when working with a team, and to ensure all work is done in a safe manner. The ability to problem solve and work under pressure when under tight deadlines.
We have a wide range of customers that are all within 45min travel time from our workshop so most days are standard working hours whether its site work or workshop, but overtime is required depending on the work and demand. Overtime paid at premium rates and plenty available.
Works Vans are provided for site work, and most tools and equipment are provided, however, we do prefer candidates to have their own basic tools.
The work is varied so its hard to get bored Some examples include -
* Assembly of machines and equipment to engineering drawings.
* Shaft rebuilds and bearing changes.
* Installation and Assembly of steel structures (Platforms, Lifting Beams, Conveyors)
* Strip down and rebuild of Hydraulic and Cylinders.
* Maintenance and Breakdown work in Factories.
* Shutdown Work and Down Day work on various sites.
* Gearbox rebuilds.
Skills Required
* Understanding of Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
* Good mechanical mind with solid Engineering Experience.
* Willing to work Overtime and Weekends.
* Ability to Read Engineering Drawings
* Punctual and reliable.
* Drivers License (Preferably Clean)
* Ability to work alone or as part of a team, safely and effectively.
* Good manner with Customers.
* Preferably Time served in Mechanical Engineering.
* Basic knowledge of industrial pipe work (beneficial)
* Some Working at Height - MEWP and Confined Space training required, we will provide training as required.
* Welding and burning.
