As part of this endeavor, we are currently seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist (Turning) to join our esteemed team based in Silverstone.
As a CNC Machinist specializing in Turning, you will play a pivotal role in the production of precision components essential for our high-performance racing cars. Your expertise will contribute to the overall success and competitiveness of the Cadillac Formula 1 Team.
* Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce high-precision metallic components in compliance with exacting specifications
* Conduct routine inspections and quality control checks on finished components to ensure adherence to defined standards
* Collaborate effectively with design engineers and fellow machinists to improve manufacturing processes and optimize production techniques
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace in accordance with health and safety regulations
* Document production processes and maintain accurate records of all machining activities performed
* Assist in training and mentoring junior machinists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements
What do we need from you?
* Proven experience as a CNC Machinist focused on Turning operations, preferably within a motorsport or precision engineering setting
* Strong background in CNC turning processes, tooling selection, and machine maintenance
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings and specifications
* Ability to utilize measurement tools and equipment for quality assurance processes
* Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work under pressure
* Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration
* Familiarity with advanced CNC controls and programming languages
* Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, HyperMill would be an advantage
* Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards in the workplace
* Capability to manage time effectively to meet production deadlines
* Positive attitude with a willingness to adapt to changing project requirements
