About the Role
East Anglia Children's Hospices have an opportunity for aregistered children’s, adult or learning disabilities nurseto join our multidisciplined team at The Treehouse Hospice, Ipswich, to further their experience or develop skills working in children’s palliative care. Full-time or part-time considered.
The successful applicant will deliver holistic nursing care and support to babies, children and young people withpalliative and end of life care needs and their families.Lead and co-ordinate shifts and undertake day-to-day operational duties as required.You will be required to provide care in the hospice, in families homes andoccasionally across our other hospice localities; therefore, a full UK driving license and access to own vehicle is essential to this role.
Shift Pattern:Our service is provided in a 24/7, 365 day environment; shifts include weekend & bank holidays.Our standard shift structure is 12 1/2 hour shifts (includes unpaid break):
* Day shift - 7:30am-8:00pm
* Night shift - 7:30pm-8:00am
* Homecare shift - in the community (hours vary)
Enhanced Rates - Weekends, Evenings & Bank Holidays
* +30% Saturdays & Evenings
* +60% Sundays & Bank Holidays
* Competitive on-call rates

About the Candidate
All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience:
* Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
* Demonstrable experience of caringfor babies, children or young peoplein an acute, community, palliative orcomplex needs setting.
* Knowledge of current legislationrelating to babies, children and youngpeople, including best practice insafeguarding children.
* Knowledge and understanding of children's palliative care and recent initiatives in children's health and social care.
* Mentor qualification or willingness towork towards it.
* Evidence of commitment to owncontinuing professional development.
