Hays Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Finance Manager to join a well-established charity based in Belfast. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management,pliance, and reporting, while supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation.
Your new role
1. Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
2. Leading budgeting and forecasting processes.
3. Producing statutory financial statements and managing audit processes.
4. Overseeing payroll, pensions, and statutory returns.
5. Managing cash flow, bank reconciliations, and financial controls.
6. Enhancing financial systems and procedures.
7. Providing financial insights to support strategic planning and funding bids.
8. Collaborating with operational teams to cost projects and monitor expenditure.
9. Advising senior leadership on financial risk and investment policy.
10. Ensuringpliance with charity SORP, GDPR, and financial regulations.
11. Maintaining financial policies and procedures.
12. Leading internal audits and strengthening financialernance.
13. Managing finance staff and supporting their development.
14. Working closely with senior management and contributing to organisational planning.
What you'll need to succeed
15. Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
16. 3–5 years’ experience in financial management.
17. Strong understanding of charity finance and statutory reporting.
18. Ideally experience in the voluntary or charity sector, or familiarity with charity SORP and fundraising finance.
