Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract to join our Short Term Support Service (STSS) - Southeast area. This role focuses on supporting the safe delivery of rehabilitation and reablement programmes in the community, with a strong emphasis on client safety, hospital discharge facilitation, and admission avoidance. You will work closely with a dedicated team of Team Supervisors and Reablement Workers, providing clear leadership, introducing innovative ways of working, and driving positive change to help us achieve our goal of delivering outstanding care. Our service is rated "Outstanding" by the CQC and is proud to be an integrated multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, Support Workers, team supervisors, and reablement workers. We also work in close partnership with colleagues across social services, nursing services, and independent providers within the community. As Assistant Manager, you will support the Team Manager in the day-to-day running of the service. You will help ensure consistency of care, maintain high standards, and foster clinical excellence by providing strong and supportive leadership to the team. The role also includes participation in the service's on-call rota, providing management support out of hours.
The role will be based with our Southeast team at Blyth Community Hospital, though you may be required to support across other sites depending on service needs.
