The Role: A/V Engineer
Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire
Package: Salary to £44,000 plus extensive benefits
This is an on site engineering role, working for a US based technology company that provide best in class audio visual and connectivity solutions.
They have a managed serviced agreement with a household name car business, and the aim of this role is to be the onsite presence in Gaydon and be the go-to technical engineer that will responsible for all aspects of the hardware and connectivity linked to the A/V solutions.
This is cutting edge video conferencing and state of the art screen systems, that will be deployed and used by some of the best automotive engineers as they work to design some of the most famous vehicle brands in the World.
The key to the role is being an expert in all things video conferencing from the network installation, configuration and troubleshooting linked to hardware. You’ll be the go-to person on site who will liaise with the companies in house engineers by way of any software related matters so this role, is network connectivity and hardware focused, with a solid IT infrastructure knowledge.
You’ll be supporting 4k projectors, direct view LED walls and control systems from Creston and Extron, plus associated fibre optic cable connectivity alongside wireless and then also, the Microsoft Windows based operating systems.
This is on site support through a managed service agreement, so ideally, you will have experience of working on customer sites rather than just doing remote support, as you’ll be representing the company in person and also, working on support issues while you are stood alongside the customer, so the role requires a think on the feet mentality with excellent customer communication and management skills.
