About the Role
The successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership and project management to expedite the planning, execution, and successful launch of the MSc programme. The role holder will take responsibility for the quality of the design of the new Master of Science in Drug Discovery with Industrial training programme and develop high teaching standards in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering.
The person appointed will also be expected to conduct ongoing original research for publication and play a lead role in collaborative research projects. The role holder will serve as principal investigator on major research projects in one of the following areas, and will identify opportunities for the development of new research projects.
* Drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics
* Molecular pharmacology
* Pharmaceutical or medicinal chemistry
Qualifications
Candidates must have a PhD degree in a related discipline and an extensive track record in the development and delivery of teaching units with proven ability to provide effective leadership and management of groups and teaching activities. Proven ability with demonstrated success in obtaining sources of funding, previous experience of successfully supervising PhD students to completion, and excellent communication and presentation skills in English are essential.
Contract
The post will initially be offered on a fixed‑term contract with the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of three years starting February 2026 or as soon thereafter. This contract may be extended on an indefinite basis by mutual agreement.
