Responsibilities
* Identifying, listing and collecting hazardous chemical wastes from customer sites, ensuring it is packaged and segregated suitably for transportation and is compliant with all relevant regulations and Company policies.
* Handling and becoming an expert in wastes varying from highly complex laboratory smalls to generic garage and engineering wastes.
* Maintaining company vehicle and the equipment carried to meet company standards.
* Dealing face to face with customers ranging from multinational manufacturers to private householders. To many customers you will be the primary point of contact and a go-to person.
* You will not have any direct reports, but will work as part of a team and, as you gain experience, will be given a greater degree of autonomy in planning and executing your work.
* Working in all conditions, often outside, you will maintain company standards and legal compliance in all areas with particular regard to Health and Safety and transportation regulations.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Chemistry is required.
* Category B/B1 (car/van up to 3500 kg), manual transmission is essential.
* Experience or willingness to learn to drive a large van is essential.
* IT literate.
* Knowledge of Hazardous Chemicals / Waste.
* ADR training card is desirable, but full training will be provided.
* Experience of WM3 and S506 is desirable.
