Overview
Leisure Energy is an award-winning renewable technology company, consultancy, principal contractor and aftercare provider specialising in decarbonisation of leisure centres and swimming pools. Our mission is to lead the transition to net zero carbon leisure facilities.
We currently employ 26FTE and have a turnover over £12M.
Due to our recent success, with a strong forward order book and set out in our Strategic Plan we anticipate significant growth over the next three to five years so are seeking a Revit Design Engineer to join our ambitious, highly talented and committed team.
The Role
Reporting to the Technical manager, and working closely with mechanical, electrical and project engineering teams, responsibilities will include:
Design & Modelling Responsibilities
* Produce 3D Revit models of commercial heat pump systems, buffer vessels, plant skids, pumps, pipework and associated services
* Import 3D scans and create accurate working models in Revit
* Generate coordinated drawings, layouts, GA plans, sections and fabrication details
* Maintain model accuracy to installation tolerances and site conditions
* Develop families, components and templates tailored to heat pump product ranges
* Support spatial planning, clash detection and services routing
* Assist in coordinating mechanical and electrical system interfaces
* Prepare drawing packs for project delivery, subcontractors and client approval
* Contribute to standardisation and continuous improvement of BIM modelling practices
Project and Team Interaction
* Work collaboratively with internal designers and project managers
* Interpret schematics, design intent, surveys and site information
* Support bill of materials development and technical documentation
* Provide visualisation outputs for client communication where required
Essential
Minimum 4 years Revit design/modelling experience
Background in Mechanical, Electrical or Construction/Building Services
Strong capability in coordinated services modelling
Understanding of commercial HVAC / plantroom layouts
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Good communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Strong organisation and self-management
Good working knowledge of MS Office
Desirable
Experience with heat pump or low-carbon energy systems
Experience working within leisure, industrial or commercial plant environments
Familiarity with Navisworks, AutoCAD or BIM workflows
Knowledge of building regulations and installation tolerances
Experience interfacing with project delivery and supply chain partners
Relevant vocational or degree-level qualification
Location: Hybrid working arrangements between home and the Leisure Energy Technology Centre in Worcestershire with some site visits across the UK.
This position is ideal for a technically capable Revit Design Engineer who enjoys producing accurate 3D coordinated models and design documentation for commercial heat pump system installations. The successful candidate will contribute to innovative low-carbon projects and support the continued growth of a high-performing and ambitious technical team
