Housing Support Worker- Part Time

We are looking for a Housing Support Worker to join our friendly team in Walton-on-the-Naze. At Luff House, you’ll be supporting occupants across our housing provision, including Luff Mews and Selhurst Court, a close-knit community of flats and bungalows located alongside the care home, offering independent living with access to support when needed. At the Pilgrims' Friend Society, we provide high-quality housing and care for older people, rooted in our Christian values and person-centred approach.
Responsibilities:
* Provide practical and emotional support to residents in their own homes
* Promote wellbeing, independence, and community engagement
* Assist with tenancy-related matters and day-to-day housing support
* Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
* Encourage participation in social, community, and (where appropriate) activities
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals
* Contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing, ensuring residents feel secure and valued

About you:
* Have basic IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Be well organised, adaptable, and able to work independently and as part of a team
* Be helpful, respectful, and person-centred in your approach
* Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Have experience in customer service (experience with older people is a plus)
* Willingness to respect residents in their Christian faith
* Be supportive of the Christian ethos of the Pilgrims' Friend Society

You do not necessarily have to have experience, as long as you are caring and sensitive to the needs of others. We can give you the training you need as long as you have the willingness and dedication to learn.
Hours:
10 hours per week with some flexibility to work weekends and evenings.
