Performance Test Engineer - Job Description
Purpose of the role
To design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to ensure software quality and reliability.
Accountabilities
1. Development and implementation of comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.
2. Creation and execution of automated test scripts, leveraging testing frameworks and tools to facilitate early detection of defects and quality issues.
3. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria, ensuring a thorough understanding of the software being tested.
4. Root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution.
5. Participation in code reviews with peers, promoting a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
6. Staying informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contributing to the organization’s technological opportunities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.

Role Responsibilities
Join us as a Performance Test Engineer where you'll design and execute comprehensive testing strategies to evaluate system scalability, reliability, and response times under various load conditions. Responsibilities include:
* Developing load testing scenarios using tools such as LoadRunner, Performance Center, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic, Kibana, and Splunk.
* Analyzing performance bottlenecks and capacity limits.
* Creating automated performance test suites.
* Monitoring system behavior under stress conditions.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics.
* Proficiency with API testing tools and load frameworks.
* Excellent scripting skills.
* Understanding of non-functional testing for web interfaces.
* Ability to write SQL queries and understand database schemas.
