We are seeking a Technical Specialist & Service Delivery Manager for Storage, Backup, Compute and Virtualisation products in a demanding, dynamic, and high‑paced environment where strong Technical & Supplier Management skills are key to success. Reporting directly to the HO Storage and Backup you will facilitate Entry‑Into‑Service from Plan and Build team to the Supplier in Run Operations as part of a Multi‑Function team. The role of technical Specialist / Service Delivery Manager is both a technical and service‑driven role managing various products including supplier management. You will need a good understanding of one or more technologies required with the ability to learn the fundamentals of all assigned products whilst abiding by ITIL best practices. You will be working in a team of 8 designing, implementing and maintaining the infrastructure in operational condition, E2E, in line with OLA/SLAs focusing on both Business continuity and end user satisfaction via our 3rd party supplier.
How you will contribute to the team
* Technical Support and Consultation: Provide expert technical guidance and support to engineering teams, project managers, and stakeholders. Act as a subject‑matter expert in specific technology domains.
* Strong technical skills and experience: Specifically IT Products such as NetApp, Veeam, HPE Servers & ESXi, and have the appropriate level of knowledge to manage the product effectively via the partner.
* Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and presentations. Communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively to diverse audiences.
* Monitor both in‑sourced and outsourced teams and activities in conjunction with contract management.
* Perform ITIL‑based processes including incident, problem, change, configuration management, asset management, major incident management, and entry into service.
* Contribute to annual capacity planning and budget management for managed products.
* Experience in a technical role within the aerospace, defence, or a highly regulated technology‑driven industry.
* Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment.
* Previous experience working in a product‑based delivery model.
* ITIL accredited with workplace experience.
* Experience in contract management.
