Overview
Join us as an Administrator and make an invaluable contribution to our Food Safety & Biosecurity! As an Animal Health Monitoring Administrator, you'll play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our labs. Working closely with the Delivery Manager, you'll manage a range of administrative tasks, coordinate sample logistics, and maintain accurate records. Your contribution will be key to ensuring the efficiency and precision of our laboratory services.
Responsibilities
* Providing administrative support including managing emails, preparing quotations, and onboarding new customers.
* Coordinating sample logistics with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery and compliance with import regulations.
* Maintaining accurate records in CRM and LIMS systems, including customer data and sample tracking.
* Supporting stock control by conducting weekly stocktakes and preparing consumables for shipment and sterilisation.
* Assisting laboratory operations during peak periods with sample preparation, equipment checks, and housekeeping tasks.
* Ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, purchase order management, and delivery coordination for AHM customers.
* Reviewing laboratory reports, quotes, and tenders for accuracy and maintaining up-to-date price lists.
* Liaising with mailroom and regulatory bodies to manage sample arrivals and notify relevant teams of any issues.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within a laboratory or scientific environment.
* Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Excel; experience with LIMS is a plus.
* Excellent written communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
* High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Familiarity with laboratory procedures and terminology is desirable.
* A proactive attitude and willingness to develop laboratory skills through ad hoc training.
