Robert Half is supporting a well-established and growing organisation in Edinburgh with the appointment of a Management Accountant to join its finance team.
This is a broad and commercially focused role, offering exposure across financial reporting, business partnering, and operational finance within a dynamic environment.
The Role
Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in delivering timely financial insight, supporting decision-making, and maintaining strong financial control across the business.
You'll work closely with stakeholders across operations and supply chain, contributing to both day-to-day finance activities and ongoing business improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L analysis and commentary
2. Deliver insightful financial reporting and analysis to support business performance
3. Partner with operational teams to understand key drivers and provide financial guidance
4. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and longer-term planning processes
5. Contribute to balance sheet reconciliations and ensure strong financial controls
6. Support audit processes and ensure compliance with internal policies
7. Provide analysis on margins, costs, and operational performance where required
8. Assist with inventory-related reporting and ensure accurate financial representation
9. Develop and enhance reporting tools, metrics, and dashboards
10. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance and the wider business
About You
11. Qualified, part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent)
12. Experience in a management accounting or commercial finance role
13. Exposure to working in a complex or operational environment (e.g. manufacturing, supply chain, or similar)
14. Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate financial information clearly
15. Confident working with stakeholders across the business
16. Proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset
