My client is a well-established M&E engineering company based in Central London, seeking an experienced MEP Design Manager to support them on a long-term project. The role will involve hybrid working and the project is expected to span several years.

Role Responsibilities
The client is working on a large scale project which is scheduled to run for a number of years, and they need a good design manager to support the Design Engineering Manager throughout the entire project lifecycle, from pre-construction phases through to practical completion.
The roles duties include:
Forming and maintaining a standards and regulations tracker based on the works information and for ongoing baseline monitoring to ensure compliance and consistency.
Strong knowledge of MEPH systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, communications, and fire safety design
The role will contribute to the setup and maintenance of design assurance processes, including development of V&V (Verification and Validation) matrices and Design Management/Technical Assurance Plans.
Lead and document regular design reviews in line with the Design Management Plan and Technical Assurance Plan.
Monitor compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices
Input into/utilise the pre-construction Technical Risk Review (TRR) to identify, assess, and manage design risks. Escalate critical risks and mitigation measures to the project team as needed.
Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards, including BREEAM.
