Department and salary Department - Finance and Business Services Salary - £61,127.00 - £67,035.05 Working Hours - 37 hours (Consideration will be given to job sharing / reduced hours in line with our flexible working policy) Location - Sport Wales National Centre, Cardiff How you’ll contribute You will be a member of the Sport Wales Leadership Team and will be expected to actively contribute and support other members of the Team to deliver key business priorities. In this role, you’ll provide strategic leadership that ensures our digital and technology environment enables Sport Wales to deliver its purpose. You’ll shape and implement our Technology Strategy, strengthen our governance frameworks, and ensure our systems and services are secure, resilient and user-centred. Your work will support the organisation to make confident decisions, enhance our digital capability, and deliver better experiences for our staff, partners and the communities we serve. You’ll also lead and develop a talented team, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing culture. By building strong relationships, you’ll help us embrace innovation, manage risk effectively and continuously improve how we work. Who you’ll work with You’ll work closely with colleagues across the Senior Leadership Team, collaborating to ensure digital and technology are fully embedded into organisational planning, performance and service delivery. You’ll also partner regularly with the Digital and Service Design Team, ensuring our digital roadmap is enabled through robust systems, secure infrastructure and well-designed services. Beyond Sport Wales, you’ll build strong relationships with Welsh Government, other sponsored bodies, sector customers and key suppliers. You’ll act as a trusted advisor on digital and technology matters, providing insight, assurance and clear communication to the Sport Wales Board, the Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) and the Audit and Risk Assurance Committee (ARAC). What you’ll need You’ll bring extensive experience of leading digital, ICT or technology functions, with a strong track record of developing and delivering strategies that drive improvement and enable organisational goals. You’ll have a solid understanding of ICT risk, cybersecurity, information governance and digital assurance, with the confidence to provide expert advice to senior stakeholders and Board members. You’ll be an inclusive and collaborative leader who can build strong relationships, motivate teams and drive a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Strong communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to work strategically while staying connected to operational realities will be essential. You’ll also be comfortable managing budgets, suppliers and programmes of work, and committed to Sport Wales’ values and purpose.
