The University is growing its student population but not its footprint and is looking for innovative data driven solutions to meet this challenge. Much of our data comes from our technical drawings (CADs) and our CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management) system. Accurate and timely management of these datasets is essential to our understanding of the estate and to the development of the space related solutions that will support our growth targets. About the role The role is predominantly concerned with the day-to-day management of space and space requests. This includes checking and updating the CAFM system, running reports, and engaging with occupants to answer questions and gather requirements. There is an administrative element to the role which involves co-ordinating and participating in audits, managing documentation, and reviewing policies. Much of the work involves assisting the Space Manager but there is also a need to develop good working relationships with Building Support Officers (BSO s), Timetabling and Health & Safety Services (HSS). About You You will be skilled in managing large data sets and interrogating data via tools such as Excel and Power BI. You will be a team player with the ability to work quickly and accurately on routine tasks. You will have the ability to build solid working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and communicate clearly via email and in person. You will have experience and/or relevant qualifications in using reporting and presentation software with expert level skill in using the core suite of MS Office applications. You will understand the importance of process and take an active role in developing and improving the processes associated with the management of space. You will enjoy working with a range of different people and in managing stakeholders across a number of disciplines. You will have a basic understanding of workplace Health & Safety guidelines and work closely with HSS, BSO s and Timetabling in data gathering and to develop possible solutions to space related challenges.
