Salary: NAECI GRADE 5 – £44,341.44
Located in Southampton, based at an oil refinery on the south coast of England, this Mechanical Technician – Embedded at Site role focuses on rotating equipment maintenance activities, ensuring quality aligned with client requirements.
Role and Key Responsibilities
* Work safely to an industry leading site safety programme
* Work within site requirements for both planned and unplanned maintenance activities on plant equipment
* Removal, installation and overhaul of rotating equipment
* Asset breakdown maintenance and fault finding of equipment
* Producing comprehensive reports, plans and solutions for equipment
Requirements
* Time served qualified Mechanical Fitter/Technician in a suitable discipline
* Experience working on process equipment including but not limited to pumps, gearboxes, fans, mixers, motors, valves and turbines
* Experience within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry or a similar working environment
* Good communication skills verbally and written
* Excellent problem solving skills
* Positive, flexible attitude with strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of self-motivation
* All tools and equipment supplied
