The Role
As National Sales Manager – Beds, you will have end-to-end responsibility for national performance, acting as the strategic and clinical-commercial expert within the organisation.
You will:
1. Own the national sales number and growth strategy for the Beds portfolio
2. Lead new product introductions and lifecycle management
3. Serve as the UK & Ireland subject-matter expert for Beds
4. Influence and align senior internal and external stakeholders
5. Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Clinical, and European leadership teams
This is a home-based role requiring regular national travel, overnight stays, routine visits to the Newbury head office, and occasional international travel.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Commercial Leadership
6. Deliver national sales targets and expand market share across NHS and Private sectors
7. Define and execute a clear, segmented short-, medium-, and long-term growth strategy for the UK & Ireland Beds business
8. Lead forecasting, demand planning, and revenue projections
9. Develop and execute competitive strategies against key market players
10. Build contingency plans to mitigate supply chain and operational risk
Market Development & Execution
11. Lead strategy, segmentation, and execution of new product launches, including Proceed
12. Drive framework inclusion and tender success in collaboration with regional sales teams
13. Oversee local go-to-market processes and loan kit optimisation
14. Create, monitor, and evolve lead-generation and pipeline strategies (NEXUS)
Stakeholder & KOL Engagement
15. Build, develop, and sustain senior Key Opinion Leader partnerships in collaboration with Clinical teams
16. Represent Stryker at national congresses, educational events, and industry forums
17. Act as a trusted advisor to customers, procurement stakeholders, and clinical leaders
Leadership, Enablement & Collaboration
18. Upskill and enable the sales organisation through structured education and coaching programmes
19. Act as a Stryker product advocate, strengthening collaboration across divisions where appropriate
20. Partner with UK and European Marketing to shape strategy and high-impact marketing collateral
Insight, Innovation & Continuous Improvement
21. Gather and translate market intelligence into actionable insights
22. Identify emerging trends, unmet needs, and future growth opportunities
23. Champion innovative engagement models, including virtual education and modern communication platforms

24. Proven track record of delivering national or regional growth targets
25. Experience in capital equipment or hospital environments
26. Demonstrated success influencing senior clinical, procurement, and executive stakeholders
