Roles and Responsibilities
* Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance to maximise plant uptime, including fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
* Diagnose faults across PLCs, drives and production equipment, implementing effective root‑cause fixes.
* Respond swiftly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and keep production running smoothly.
* Support continuous improvement, machine upgrades and reliability projects across the site.
* Work closely with production, contractors and suppliers to maintain safety, quality and performance standards.
Qualifications and Experience
* Serious maintenance engineer with a recognised Level 3 qualification (NVQ/HNC or equivalent) in Electrical or Multi‑skilled Engineering.
* Strong electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Confident fault finding on electrical systems, with working knowledge of PLCs and industrial drives.
* Able to work independently, prioritise workload and respond effectively to breakdown situations.
* Proactive, safety‑conscious approach with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
