Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Indirect Tax Manager to join their finance team just north of Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead VAT and CIS compliance across a large, multi-entity group, ensuring robust, technically accurate filings and driving process efficiencies.
In this key role, you'll support the Group Tax Director and Head of Indirect Tax, while also engaging with regional teams across the business to provide hands-on support and strategic tax input.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure accurate and robust VAT and CIS compliance filings across the group
2. Review monthly VAT and CIS reconciliations, following up on outstanding items with relevant teams
3. Conduct technical reviews of VAT returns, escalating complex issues where needed
4. Support on VAT and SDLT implications related to land transactions and disposals
5. Meet quarterly with business units to resolve issues, reconcile items, and provide tax guidance
6. Assist the Head of Indirect Tax in advising regional offices on VAT and CIS matters
7. Identify opportunities for improving tax efficiency and streamlining compliance processes
