Job Title: Business Development Manager (Foreign Exchange)

Location: London, UK

Type: Permanent

Salary: £50,000 + competitive commission


About the Role

Our client, a leading player in the foreign exchange payments industry, is seeking a Business Development Manager to fuel growth and expand their UK corporate client base. This role is heavily focused on new business, cold calling, and closing mid–large corporate deals — perfect for someone with a genuine hunter mentality.

You’ll join a high-performing team and receive strong coaching and mentoring from senior leadership, giving you the tools and support to elevate your FX sales career.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

* Proactively identify, target, and win new corporate clients in the UK FX/payments market.
* Confidently make outbound sales calls, navigate gatekeepers, and convert prospects.
* Overcome objections with ease and consistently close new business.
* Build and execute strategic plans to exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
* Deliver persuasive pitches, proposals, and presentations to senior decision-makers.

Client Relationship Management

* Develop strong, trust-based relationships with new and existing clients.
* Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximise revenue per client.
* Partner with onboarding and operations teams to deliver a seamless client experience.

Learning & Development

* Take part in structured coaching and mentoring from experienced leaders.
* Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor landscape.
* Take initiative in continuously improving your skills, knowledge, and performance.


Key Requirements

Experience & Skills

* Minimum 2 years’ experience in FX.
* Proven track record in winning mid–large UK corporate business.
* Strong experience in new business sales and outbound/cold calling.
* Confident closing deals and engaging senior stakeholders.
* Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
* CF30 qualification is highly preferred.

Additional Requirements

* Onsite in London 5 days per week (this is a fully office-based role).
