The role: Trainee Account Manager
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Account Manager to join our Farming & Agriculture team in Kendal. This is the perfect role for someone with a previous background in Farm, Agriculture or Commercial Insurance, whether that is Claims or Underwriting looking to move into a client focused Account Manager role or for an experienced Account Manager looking to develop their Commercial Insurance skills and knowledge further within a Global Market Leader.
As a Trainee Account Manager, once you have received initial training and support, you will be responsible for servicing a dedicated portfolio of clients, this can involve managing renewals, invoicing, producing new quotes, upselling/cross selling additional products whilst handling any additional queries that are presented.

We will rely on you to:
8. Work on all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients, ensuring client needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards.
9. Manage all day-to-day queries, new business, renewals, amendments and mid-term adjustments.
10. Build and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, client teams and producers to provide best in class service and drive growth.
11. Serve as a client contact for day-to-day needs and answer standard or more difficult client questions to improve the client experience.
12. Maintain a detailed understanding of changing market condition and understands and complies with all compliance, professional and transparency standards to better serve clients.
What you need to have:
13. Previous experience within a client/customer facing role, this can be gained from within a similar role or working in environments.
14. Strong literacy, numeracy, administration and communication skills that can be demonstrated via qualifications/grades gained during education
15. Ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to work flexibly when required
16. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously
17. Have experience utilising the Microsoft Office suite and similar products
