Maintenance Technician/Shift Engineer - Belfast.
Our client seeks a highly versatile and self-motivated Maintenance Technician (mechanical or electrical)/ Shift Engineer, Trade qualified with experience, who will be part of a small engineering team involved in a dynamic and varied role helping to support the smooth running of the plant in Belfast. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent maintenance and fault-finding skills. They must demonstrate flexibility with a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude dealing with a wide variety of tasks.
We wish to attract applications for this exciting role from experienced Shift Engineers with production experience.
The Role:
Working as a member of the Engineering Team, the successful candidate will provide multi-skilled engineering and maintenance cover across the entire production facility. Duties will include: -
• Completion of all routine maintenance, in line with the agreed site plan.
• Repair and maintenance of plant and equipment, to ensure faults are identified quickly and production downtime is minimised.
• Accurate recording of all work undertaken for compliance and audit purposes.
• Ensuring all duties are undertaken in line with current health & safety legislation.
• Executing preventative/unplanned maintenance
• Perform investigations and conduct root cause analysis
• Carry out maintenance, diagnosis, calibration and repair of plant, equipment, facilities and utilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair motors, mechanical circuits, and all mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, process, facility and utility issues.
• Perform routine and on-the-spot tests of all mechanical and electrical systems.
• Follow Safety Regulations - follow and maintain all safety standards and regulations
• Record all maintenance issues, machine changes, faults, breakdowns, spares required and recommendations.
• Carry out project work
• Ensure there is sufficient electrical and mechanical spares and flag shortfalls to management.
Interested applicants should have and be:
• An experienced multi-skilled engineer (mechanical or electrical) /Shift Engineer, Trade qualified.
• Proven track record within a fast-paced production environment.
• Conversant with PLC’s.
• Proactive and can-do attitude.
• Communication skills
