SEN Teaching Assistant – Bury St Edmunds

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Bury St Edmunds, where we provide high-quality education and care for children and young people aged 4–19.
A driving licence is a MUST, as well as a Child Only Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, to fast track your application!
Key Responsibilities:
Support teachers in delivering personalised learning for children and young people with SLD and PMLD.
Assist with day-to-day care, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Implement individual learning plans and activities to meet each student’s needs.
Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour within the classroom and across school.
Support the emotional and social development of pupils.
Requirements:
Full driving licence – essential for this role.
Child Only Enhanced DBS on the update service to fast-track your application.
Experience working in SEN settings is highly desirable.
A caring, patient, and flexible approach.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
