Multi-Skilled Apprentice

This apprenticeship will last for a duration of 30 months. The training is delivered by New Durham College and you will be required to attend training at New College Durham, DH1 5ES.
What the candidate will be doing on a day-to-day basis
A multiskilled job role isa position that requires an individual to possess and apply expertise in multiple different fields or skills.These roles often involve tasks that cross traditional job boundaries, requiring a broader skillset than traditional roles. On a day-to-day basis you will be working within the R&M department (Repairs and Maintenance).
Background on department
The R&M department are responsible for the repairs withing approximately 8,600 homes across Northumberland. The work carried out by the department includes plumbing, gas, electrical, carpentry, bricklaying and plastering.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is eager to learn andexpand their knowledge and skills through hands-on experience.
Likes to work as part of a team, on a variety of tasks with short deadlines. To be able to work on their own where relevant.

Contract Type
Fixed Term for duration of apprenticeship training, plus 6 months for End Point Assessment.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
* Maths and English GCSE (or Equivalent) at Grade 4/C or above
* Familiar with IT systems, eg. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Can work as part of a team
