About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established aerospace manufacturing business. This is a permanent late shift position, ideal for a skilled machinist with strong experience using Fanuc controls and working to tight tolerances.
You will play a key role in producing high-precision aerospace components, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
* Set and operate CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls
* Machine complex aerospace components to tight tolerances
* Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
* Select tooling, set offsets, and adjust cutting parameters
* Carry out in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment
* Make program edits at the machine where required
* Ensure all work meets strict aerospace quality standards
* Complete production and quality documentation
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a CNC Turner in a precision or aerospace environment
* Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
* Ability to set and operate CNC lathes independently
* Experience working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
* Confident reading engineering drawings
* Skilled in using inspection tools (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Desirable (but not essential)
* Aerospace industry experience
* Knowledge of AS9100 standards
* Experience with multi-axis turning or live tooling
* Basic CNC programming/editing knowledge
