What youll be doing;
Translate and develop conceptual designs into CAD drawings, including: GAs, Planning Drawings, 3D arrangements, Layout drawings, Setting out drawings, SLDs, PFD and P and ID for water and wastewater treatment infrastructure using AutoCAD/Revit and other relevant CAD software.
Produce BOM listings to enable specifications, calculations and component selection to be undertaken by others.
Take responsibility for ensuring that conceptual design and tender preparation documents are provided to meet the project timescales and necessary quality standards.
Collaborate with Project teams to create, update and manage BIM Models in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
Utilise a Common Data Environment (CDE) to ensure accurate data management, version control and efficient project collaboration.
Work in the Engineering Team to provide both consultative design support and in some instances supporting the installation and construction phase of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
To produce project specific installation specifications in order to obtain competitive installation quotations from local M and E contractors. This may include the production of appropriate 2D and/or 3D drawings (Layouts, General Arrangements, planning and piping drawings) for water treatment assets and associated pipework systems.
Create 3D renders for use in bid documentation.
Generate, import and work with LiDAR scans in CAD using Trimble X9 Scanner
Liaise with Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineers in identifying the project requirements and on the development of the detailed design for water and wastewater schemes.
Support and assist in the development stage of a project taking responsibility for ensuring that conceptual design and tender preparation documents are provided in accordance with required timescales and quality standards.
What were looking for;
Previous CAD experience 2D and 3D.
Experience with creating P and ID and layout drawings, ideally within the UK water/wastewater sector.
Experience working in the UK Water Industry with knowledge of modelling water/wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and associated mechanical, electrical, and piping systems (MEP).
Experience in producing designs for both above:ground (non:infrastructure) and below:ground (infrastructure) water assets, such as treatment works, pumping stations, and pipeline networks.
Experience using LiDAR data within CAD models.
Relevant engineering qualification, i.e. Degree, HNC/ HND
