What you will do
* Carry out comprehensive OT assessments using both standardised and non‑standardised tools for children with a range from mild to complex needs.
* Provide evidence‑based interventions to support functional skills, sensory processing, motor development, and participation in daily routines.
* Deliver therapy through one‑on‑one sessions, group work, school‑based programmes, and integrated MDT approaches.
* Offer advice, coaching, and structured training to parents and carers to help them implement therapy strategies at home.
* Provide accessible information and guidance to empower families and promote independence.
* Work collaboratively with schools, SENCOs, teachers, and other educational staff to support inclusive practice and functional participation in school settings.
* Build strong relationships with multidisciplinary colleagues including Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistants, and social care teams.
* Contribute to the development of Barnet’s universal and targeted OT offer for schools, including training packages and standardised support pathways.
* Identify gaps in provision and help shape innovative approaches to meet local needs.
* Ensure all practice aligns with safeguarding principles and Barnet Council policies.
* Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and reports.
* Uphold HCPC and RCOT professional standards.
Requirements
* HCPC registered
* Must have a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
