Overview
Due to a promotion we are looking for a Health & Safety Officer to assist with the management of site health and safety activities in a manner that ensures all statutory and company requirements are achieved and maintained in support of the business objectives. Supporting the Site H&S Manager.
Hours are Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 16:00 and some flexibility is required on occasionParking is available at a local site, that is a 5 minute walk away.How will you contribute?
1. Working with the local management teams and the site HSEQ Manager to develop, implement and manage the local HSEQ Plans.
2. Implementation and maintenance of Corporate HSEQ policies, procedures and standards.
3. Work with local management teams on all aspects of HSEQ, including coaching for managers to develop skills within the site teams, risk assessments, accident investigations and inspections.
4. Carry out statistical analysis to identify issues of concern; assist in the creation, modification and delivery of relevant action plans for all HSEQ and Food Safety processes.
5. Lead safety initiatives, campaigns, competitions and engagement events on site with the goal of promoting HSEQ and driving tangible improvements in safety performance and culture.
6. Create and deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and Safe Systems of Work (SSOWs) across the different contracts on site.
7. Deputise for H&S Manager in their absence.

9. Passion, drive and ambition to make a career in HSEQ
10. Relevant experience gained in a logistics environment
11. NEBOSH Certificate qualified or equivalent
12. Experience of managing H&S at a local level
13. Will have the influencing skills to drive a culture of continuous improvement
14. Must have excellent communication skill, both written and verbal
15. Will have effective presentation and training skills
16. Will have competent administration and IT skills
